NEIGHBORS CHURCH

We are not a conservative community. We are not a progressive community. We are a Jesus-centered and Orthodox community committed to the things the Church has practiced for thousands of years. While there are many peripheral doctrinal questions that deserve serious thought, we want to be committed to the essentials of Christian Orthodoxy. The simplest summation of these beliefs can be found in the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed.

Microchurch

During the week, neighbors throughout our community will open their homes and lives to gather around food and friendship. These gatherings will be rich with laughter, intentional conversations, and Gospel participation.

Neighborhood

Every month we will come together as a community dedicated to seeing the Gospel in a tangible way. We will encourage our church to be the hands and feet of Jesus by meeting needs in our neighborhood. We will do this by partnering with our community coalition, local Care Portal, and supporting our neighborhood food pantry. We will dedicate a day each month to help in ways such as: clean up our parks, support our local schools, and feed those who are food insecure.

Values

Gospel Participation:

Jesus at the center of it all

Hospitality:

Welcoming the stranger as friend

Intentionality:

Kingdom purpose in everything we do

Creativity:

A place to welcome new ideas, innovate, an develop

Rest:

Embracing a culture of slowing down
